The vision of owner and director, Tricia Bridgeo, the Equine Discovery Center (EDC) is a place where curiosity and exploration are held in the highest regard and fostered in every lesson offered. Founded as Silhouette Farm in 1993, the Equine Discovery Center (EDC) underwent a name change in 2012 to better reflect our services and programs. Situated on 75-acres in Raymond, NH, the EDC provides educational and training adventures for everyone with an interest in horses, nature or learning, including seasoned equestrians, beginner riders, families, students and day campers.
The EDC has continued to evolve through the years but our foundation of education, training and fun has not changed. We are continually adding new accommodations to our facilities every year; most recently, we added a water complex to our awesome cross-country course (one of the only courses in the area designed and developed by a licensed course designer). With our large outdoor jump ring, an indoor ring, and video system, we have everything you need to reach your riding goals. We also welcome outside trainers to use our facilities.
Taking advantage of our beautiful fields, woodlands and ponds, we have developed a unique enrichment program comprised of flexible modules that encourage exploration and learning. We offer these programs both onsite and through our mobile classroom. We also work with educational professionals, schools and organizations to create customized curricula to enhance their own programs.
Our EDC Mobile Classroom has become very popular with schools and youth organizations across New England. It has brought unique, environmentally-based learning adventures to the doorstep of hundreds of children and families who may not always have the chance to explore nature’s wonders on their own.
